A Different Perspective

Yogi Bear stood at the entrance to Jellystone National Park. He scouted unattended picnic baskets while awaiting Boo Boo Bears arrival home on the school bus. Yogi and Boo Boo were co-owners of a playoff fantasy team. As Yogi considered himself smarter than the average bear, he figured his team had a decided advantage, but he needed Boo Boos help in researching and deciphering the most recent data before submitting teams for the next round of games. So he waited anxiously and kept a look out for Ranger Smith. The school bus screeched to a halt at the entrance and Boo Boo climbed down the steps, dragging his back pack behind him. The bus roared off in a cloud of dust and rubble. Hey, Boo Boo! Were still in first place in our fantasy league. Lets go look at the stats and make our picks. I dont want to play anymore, Yogi.

Britney Stays Put While Her Lawyers Go Back to Court

Jamie and Lynne visited their daughter at UCLA Medical Center on Saturday. Following the completion of her 72-hour psychiatric evaluation, it was decided that her time in the hospital will be extended for 14 more days. Even while Britney is away getting help, her legal matters are a mess as usual. Her lawyers were supposed to go to court with Kevin's attorneys today to discuss visitation rights, but the hearing was postponed. This afternoon, however, her divorce lawyers will be in the courtroom to try to get control of Britney's finances and medical decisions taken away from her father. Even though Britney is locked away, we're not surprised she is still making tons of headlines.

Front-runners woo Ohio

Cincinnati may not be the center of the universe in Ohio's Democratic presidential primary, but Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton will be here for campaign events over the next several days.

They will be followed quickly by Republican front-runner John McCain, who plans to hold a campaign rally at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hamilton County Memorial Hall, next to Music Hall in Over-the-Rhine.

Clinton's event Saturday is billed as a "town hall" forum in the gymnasium at Cincinnati State and Technical College, her campaign said. Doors open at 8 a.m., and the event starts at 9:15 a.m. It is open to the public.

Russian bombers to test-fire missiles in Bay of Biscay

They do not even want to bother again for Poland, Hungary and the rest of former soviet block, provided that NO ONE ELSE places dangerous toys down there . Russia has enough problems to solve before to THINK to be a menace for anyone on the Earth (but why be a menace when you can earn money -and influence- without it ?) . They have shown the flag quite far from home after a long while, "here we are", that's all . Do we have to be frightened by a nation that has ONE aircraft carrier ? And what about USA and its THIRTEEN (and some thinkers like...) ?

Irving brothers look to break up empire

Sadly enough, I'd say most non-Atlantic Canadians wouldn't either.

That said, if there's a way of splitting the empire while keeping most of the jobs local I'd say that's a good thing. Posted 21/11/07 at 4:01 AM EST | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment .
